days of daily check-ins
1,472
daily check-ins analysed
Study type

This was a structured, single-arm, self-reported customer study. All participants used DoNotAge.org SureSleep during the study period. There was no placebo or control group. Findings describe customer-reported outcomes during normal product use.

CUSTOMER-REPORTED OUTCOMES

Across 51 analysed completers, customers reported improvement across all four tracked sleep outcomes during the BioStackr customer study.

88%
45 of 51
analysed completers reported better sleep quality
94%
48 of 51
analysed completers reported better daytime energy
76%
39 of 51
analysed completers moved toward easier sleep onset
53%

01
Compliance gate
  • 48-hour double check-in required before product shipped
  • Ensures baseline data collected before intervention
02
Baseline
  • Pre-study check-ins establish each participant's starting point
  • 4 to 5 day baseline window before product arrived
  • Final 5 study days = endpoint comparison
03
Confound handling
  • Participants tagged days affected by alcohol, travel, illness, intense exercise or atypical high-stress events
  • Tagged days were excluded from the primary analysis and reviewed separately as context
  • Normal work stress and ordinary difficult days should not be treated as excluded unless specifically tagged as atypical
04
Statistical analysis
  • Cohen's d (effect size) on self-reported scale scores
  • 95% confidence intervals
  • Bootstrap resampling
05
Cohort
  • 60 confirmed, 51 analysed completers, 13 countries
  • 21-day single-arm cohort. Each participant served as own control. No placebo or control group
  • Recruited from existing DoNotAge.org customer base
06
Participant incentive disclosure
  • Participants received DoNotAge supplements for taking part in the study. Findings and testimonials should be read in that context.
STARTING POINT

What participants wanted help with.

Participants most often came in looking for better sleep continuity, deeper rest, and better mornings.
PARTICIPANT CONTEXT

Not a first-time sleep audience.

Many participants had already tried other sleep supports before the study.

FINDINGS

Customer-reported changes across all four outcomes.

Analysed completers (n=51). Baseline vs final 5 days. Customer-reported outcomes during the BioStackr customer study.

88%
45 of 51
analysed completers reported better sleep quality
Mean 5.15 to 6.77 (+31.4%). Cohen's d 1.13 on self-reported scale scores.
94%
48 of 51
analysed completers reported better daytime energy
Mean 5.06 to 6.65 (+31.3%). Cohen's d 1.22 on self-reported scale scores.
76%
39 of 51
analysed completers moved toward easier sleep onset
Self-reported category. Cohen's d 0.88 on self-reported scale scores.
53%
27 of 51
analysed completers reported fewer night wakes
Directionally improved across the cohort. Cohen's d 0.36 on self-reported scale scores.

End-of-study survey findings below use the survey respondent group, n=49.

57%
28 of 49
survey respondents felt a benefit within the first week
71%
35 of 49
survey respondents rated it better than most, or the best, they had used
47%
23 of 49
survey respondents found it better than expected
76%
37 of 49
survey respondents found it very easy to fit into their routine

The clearest pattern was customer-reported improvement in sleep that showed up the next day: 88% (45 of 51) analysed completers reported better sleep quality, and 94% (48 of 51) analysed completers reported better daytime energy. Individual results may vary.

Design and analysis
  • This was a prospective, observational, single-arm, self-reported customer study. Each participant used SureSleep and was compared against their own pre-product baseline. There was no placebo arm, control group, randomisation or blinding.
  • This study was commissioned by DoNotAge.org and conducted independently by BioStackr.
  • BioStackr designed the protocol, managed data collection, set the confound-exclusion rules, and ran the analysis. DoNotAge.org had no access to raw submissions and did not control the analysis, exclusions, metrics, or results. Public-facing wording may be reviewed for compliance before use.
  • BioStackr earns no commission, affiliate fee, or revenue from SureSleep sales.
  • Outcomes self-reported via daily structured check-ins.
  • Participants tagged days affected by alcohol, travel, illness, intense exercise or atypical high-stress events. Tagged days were excluded from the primary analysis and reviewed separately as context.
  • Effect sizes via Cohen's d on self-reported scale scores; 95% confidence intervals from 10,000-iteration bootstrap resampling.
  • Analysis limited to participants who completed the study and met the minimum check-in threshold.
  • Self-reported outcomes carry recall and expectation bias.
  • Without a placebo arm, results cannot isolate the product from placebo and natural variation.
  • A single-cohort study is not generalisable to the whole population.

TRANSPARENCY

Factors we excluded

Participants tagged days affected by alcohol, travel, illness, intense exercise or atypical high-stress events. Tagged days were excluded from the primary analysis and reviewed separately as context. Normal work stress and ordinary difficult days were not treated as excluded unless specifically tagged as atypical.

Alcohol
Onset moved toward the harder end on these days. Overall quality less affected than expected.
Travel
Largest drop in sleep quality. Increased wakeups. The most consistent disruption across the cohort.
High-intensity exercise
Higher sleep quality and fewer wakes, with onset slightly harder.
High-stress days
Tagged at submission for atypical high-stress events. Excluded from primary analysis and reviewed separately. Normal work stress and ordinary difficult days were not treated as excluded unless specifically tagged.

Study findings based on customer-reported data.
